“We go way back”

As one of the vibrant mixes of suburbia and cityscape under the sun here in South Florida, Miami stands out as an important part of our history.

One Two Tree & Miami

“Bright Sun and Vibrant Lawns”

It’s been a great pleasure providing green solutions throughout this magical city. Whether it’s enhancing the topiary of a residential property off of a busy Flagler Street, or giving back to the community running alongside neighbors down Biscayne Blvd. for a greater cause, we love to give back to our favorite city near the coast.

Our technicians and experts cover the greater Miami area, from city parks to neighborhoods. We like to keep our clients happy by taking care of Miami’s culturally rich, lush greenery.

As one of the areas hit hard by Hurricane Andrew in 1992, we went around to help with cleanup and maintenance once everything settled down. With our help, we keep Miami a great place to visit, with some of the most serene mixes of ornamental trees and natural greenery around.

Known for its extensive landscape of palm trees, vibrant neighborhoods, and festive architecture, it’s no wonder we’re always going around Miami for a job. It’s up to us to keep the area as pristine and green as it’s meant to be. We like knowing that we are part of what keeps Miami’s landscape looking so welcoming under the sun.

Some of our favorite hotspots are Miami Marlins Park, the high end sports turf home of our home baseball team, Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, with its beautiful display of local plants, and Bayfront Park, which houses the delightful local amphitheatre and is right across the street from our onsite office . Like us, these must-see areas of Miami dedicated to preserving and beautifying South Florida’s natural foliage while providing some premiere Miami entertainment.

As a crown jewel of South Florida’s fun under the sun lifestyle, this community appreciates the proper application of our green thumbs for all of their specialized topiary needs.

Community Involvement

Giving Back to Our Community

One Two Tree believes it its corporate responsibility of giving back to its family of customers. We do our part in Miami by supporting its thriving community, with the goal of making a positive difference in the lives of its residents.

Through our extensive efforts to help its residents, from financial assistance and donations (personnel time, products, services and equipment) to charitable events, causes, and community projects, we love to give back to the community at large. Here are a few of the events that we are committed to:

Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run

Like in previous years, The Mercedes Benz Corporate Run was an event for all of Downtown Miami to enjoy, especially with all of the corporations coming down to represent themselves, with a total of nearly 30,000 members of the community filling the streets. This past Thursday, April 28th, 2016 was one of the largest events in downtown Miami for the early spring season, especially with One Two Tree doing its part in promoting the event’s healthy message.
Keeping up with the hardworking attitude of its colleagues, One Two Tree stood among its peers in its tentIMG_0552 along the starting line grounds. At the forefront of the starting line came the runners, ranging from organizations representing Miami institutions, such as The University of Miami, Leon Medical Group, Baptist Hospital and Florida International University to name a few.

Donating their specialized bucket trucks, they helped photographers catch the action from above, with a wide angle of the starting line as the thousands of runners in teams gathered before the starting cannon signaled the beginning of the run.

This large group of representatives for their businesses, their CEOs and their teams began gathering before making their way across the long stretch of road, walking, running, or even pedaling their way down Biscayne Boulevard.

With roads closed down for the next few hours, the race started at 6:45 PM, following the blast from a loud cannon and with celebratory smoke mixed with ticket taped rained down from the elaborately decorated starting line. Right by the starting line, members of the One Two Tree team cheered on the thousands of runners making their way down the long winding streets of Biscayne Boulevard.

Standing up on the trucks, team members and their families, including Dusty Montiel of the Pest Control Division, Richard Barocas of the Tree Care Division to owner Marc Terwilliger himself came out to celebrate with the rest of the corporations on site.

Forever Bloom Alliance

Since I became part of the One Two Tree family back in 2001, I learned to give back to our community by participating in many of the events that we sponsor or are part of every year.
A few months ago, I was talking to my daughter Anita about getting involved with a nonprofit organization to give some of my time to a good cause.

She is a member of the FBA, or Forever Bloom Alliance, which is an organization led by students, teachers, volunteers and business professionals. Their personal mission is to promote the educational and social well-being of America’s youth.

She invited me to participate and I liked the idea of giving back to our community by helping young people participating in different events.

One of their events is the shoreline clean up at Bayfront Park, which is monthly volunteer work to clean up the beautiful Biscayne Bay shoreline. This area connecting Bayside and the Miami River is important to the upkeep of the beauty of our city, and is now one of the community events sponsored by One Two Tree.

I feel that this is a good way to give back, by supporting America’s youth and also spending quality time with my daughter.

This tasteful urban park embodies the modernist designs of the Miami area, which mix stylized architecture such as the Bayfront Amphitheatre and rolling fields of fresh grassy landscape.

Miami is a major center, and a leader in finance, commerce, culture, media, entertainment, the arts, and international trade.[12][13] In 2012, Miami was classified as an Alpha−World City in the World Cities Study Group’s inventory.[14] In 2010, Miami ranked seventh in the United States in terms of finance, commerce, culture, entertainment, fashion, education, and other sectors. It ranked 33rd among global cities.[15] In 2008, Forbes magazine ranked Miami “America’s Cleanest City”, for its year-round good air quality, vast green spaces, clean drinking water, clean streets, and city-wide recycling programs.

Pest Services: The Seasons of Miami

As part of the subtropical climate that is South Florida, areas like Miami are constantly under mosquito threat, especially during the rainy spring and summer seasons.

With the upcoming summer season, pest control is one of those services that you’re going to need in the future, especially with our specialized treatments that keep your property safe.

South Florida has a few key pests that breed like crazy around this time of year, especially with the rainy season coming along. Like any good pest, these bugs invade our homes, eat your ornamentals, and mess up our lawns.
At One Two Tree, we make sure that you aren’t bugged in your home or around your property with our professional, environmentally friendly pest treatments.

Our Treatment Methods:

Thermal Fogging (Repellant)

Using similar technology employed by the Word Health Organization, we’ve taken to using this jet powered chemical fogger to keep your yard from being invaded. This chemical fog acts as a repellant to keep mosquitoes away from your property.

Chemical Spray (Larvacide/Pesticide)

Our environmentally safe spray treatments are applied monthly, killing eggs, larvae, and keeping your property free from pests: mosquitoes and gnats alike.
Some of the worst pests coming around in the later parts of this spring season and the soon to come summer include the trifecta of mosquitoes, grasshoppers and white flies.

Aedes albopictus, Psorophora ciliate, Culex quinquefasciatus, Culex tarsalis

Florida’s number one pest problem, mosquitoes are known to spread disease and make the summer season a living nightmare for residents and tourists alike. With the dense, lusher foliage on the grounds of South Florida’s homes, it’s no wonder mosquitoes have found an easy place to breed. But with our help, we keep out neighbors from getting bitten with our tried and true control methods.

Romalea microptera

Eastern Lubber Grasshoppers:

These grass eating fiends keep themselves busy when the spring season comes around. Their breeding patterns coincide with the start of the spring season, and they run amok trying to increase their numbers in the summer.

Florida Whitefly:

Aleurocanthus woglumi, Bemisia argentifolii

These native annoying pests can ruin household ornamentals and native plants just by feeding on the sensitive parts of leaves. Keep whiteflies from cropping up around your property by spraying down your shrubs whenever possible. We come by to keep them away with sprays and fogs to keep them at bay. By keeping them clean, you keep your ornamentals green.
